Latvia, a small but very unique country has its capital city in Riga, which is it’s largest city also. The best travel time for visitors waiting to explore Latvia is during late spring or summer when the weather is warm enough to let you take a stroll around the cities and enjoy a splendid outdoor experience. Through November to April, you would expect a really cold weather and some snow, the winter isn’t usually a great time to visit, as the lakes would be frozen over. Turaida's Stone Castle, Rose of Turaida Memorial, the church and Church Hill, Folk Song Garden, Folk Song Hill and other monuments are built over 43 hectares of land.

• Riga Central Market, the largest market in Europe. You can take a look at the buildings that house this market—five pavilions built upon old German Zeppelin hangars in Art Nouveau style.
